Among the largest non-profit recyclers in all of the United States, Eco-Cycle was founded in 1976 by a group of Boulder, Colorado, residents who shared a passion for protecting and conserving natural resources. Today, the core mission is focused-on identifying, exploring, and demonstrating sustainable resource management through concepts and practices of Zero Waste. As it is, Eco-Cycle has been the official recycler of Boulder County, having opened the Boulder County Recycling Center in 2001; and they continue to process recyclables today. Moreover, Eco-Cycle provides business recycling collections to more than 800 Boulder County businesses. In addition to their default service, they also offer award-winning educational programs to over 25,000 kindergarten through high school students, as well as the general public. Visit their website to gain access to numerous visual tutorials and cheat sheets regarding composting, reducing paper waste, and general recycling information.
