Founded in 1990 by father-son combo Kent and Steve Savage, Eco-Products is a sustainable disposable products company located in Boulder, Colorado. In the beginning, the idea was to provide products made from recycled materials to businesses around their local region.
Due to a flooded market of competition, the company shifted focus to purchasing and distributing compostable food service disposables, such as cold and hot cups, containers, plates and bowls, utensils, napkins, and lids. Beginning in 2007, the company began manufacturing their own product line, under their own label, with a number of innovations such as the Greenstripe Cup, Evolution World Hot Cup, and EcoLid 25; all of which completely re-shaped the industry.
The Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) is an association, founded in 2003, responsible for promoting the use and recovery of biodegradable materials and ensuring clear labeling of legitimate compostable products. As such, BPI offers a certification for companies that follow the path of manufacturing sustainable disposable products. Based-upon their flawless track record and history, each of Eco-Products’ compostable items are BPI and USDA Certified Bio-based Products.
Eco-Products is the most-recognized and authentic sustainable food service packaging brand. With a deeply-rooted passion and commitment to offering environmentally-friendly packaging, the company believes they can change the world, through the communities they serve, by making sustainable disposable products that will re-shape their entire industry.
