Rudi’s Organic Bakery was founded in 1976 by Sheldon Romer in Boulder, Colorado. In a very short time, the small bakery would gain the reputation for baking nutritious, flavorful, and preservative-free breads, rolls, and buns. By 1981, after a rigorous testing process, Rudi’s entire product line was certified Kosher and began to appear on supermarket and natural food store shelves throughout the country. The company would begin to use all organic ingredients in all of their products in 1991, and from then on they would be known as a leader of the growing organic industry. As it stands today, Rudi’s is the leading producer of organic bread and baked goods. The bakery is no longer a small mom and pop today, but instead is now part of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc.; which, is a leading natural and organic food and personal care products company with locations in North America and Europe.
